Midweek Blessings


I offer this post as a thank you to Jeanette for her weekly Sunday reminders about our blessings...


Here's my midweek version:



TODAY'S STORY...


Last week, I had a delightful encounter with two middle-aged Black sisters over the wording of the rear NY license plate frame on their late model BMW…in front of Witches Brew Coffee House here in West Hempstead. Here’s the bottom of the frame. The top contained 3 Greek letters…


I approached them and told them their message  immediately reminded me of delight-FULL texts we get each week from a fellow member of our local Baha’i fellowship. Her messages always include reminders of our blessings.

I asked if I could take a picture of the plate and frame. The driver said only if my intended audience were members of a sorority or fraternity. So…here’s the bottom…BLESSED!

I loved the original Addams Family TV sitcom (1964-1966). This made it easy to become a fan of LI's horror Maven Keith Crocker. See "below" for Keith.

John Zacherley - the Cool Ghoul


He was another major player in my misspent youth. I followed him from TV to radio. Last week, when the NYU-Langone neurology team attached electrodes to my head (see upcoming post), I was reminded of a regular routine Zacherley would do in his laboratory: Affix electrodes to cauliflower "brains" and put them through their paces. Add electrodes to the following image and you get the picture. Oh, this picture adds some "FINGER FOOD."
