Sun. Aug. 6, 2023 - 41st Annual World Peace Vigil & Community Dedication to Peace

Updated: Jul 31

Stop the Arms Trade * Cut the Arms Budget * Money for Environmental and Human Needs

Friends,

BBB is a co-sponsor of the South Country Peace Group's annual WORLD PEACE VIGIL in Bellport on Sunday, August 6, the 78th anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima. Please see notice above for more details. With the release of the film Oppenheimer, there may be renewed interest in the nuclear arms race and the lead-up to the first use of the atomic bomb (by the US) that destroyed so many in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Vigil attenders start out at the South Country Library and process solemnly down Bellport Lane to the marina where a program will take place. Show your support - mourn the lost - vow to work for peace, both abroad and here at home.

Thanks, peace,

Susan Perretti for BBB (Building Bridges in Brookhaven)
