DEADicated to the one I love...my dancin' thru life partner...

To provide some chronological context to this morning's Facebook posts, and so you the reader don't have to read them from the bottom up (or stand on your head)......I'm reassembling them here according to their Chronos time signature...then again,

"who knows where the time goes..."

ONE

The sand...stones...tides...of time...wait for...us... ...to grok both our mortality...and immortality...

Was greeted by this image as I woke up...me and my PC...and just let thoughts rise up...and added them to this post...

...waking consciousness began forming new words and images...so, I'll stop my wondering and wandering here...for "WHO knows where the time goes..."

TWO

...a continuation of today's waking musings...time and tide wait for NOMAN [sic]... ...so "let the music play..."

Uncle John's Band Grateful Dead Well the first days are the hardest days Don't you worry any more 'Cause when life looks like Easy Street There is danger at your door Think this through with me Let me know your mind Wo, oh, what I want to know Is are you kind?

It's a buck dancer's choice my friend Better take my advice You know all the rules by now And the fire from the ice Will you come with me? Won't you come with me? Wo, oh, what I want to know Will you come with me?

Goddamn, well I declare Have you seen the like? Their wall are built of cannonballs Their motto is "Don't tread on me"

Come hear Uncle John's Band Playing to the tide Come with me, or go alone He's come to take his children home

It's the same story the crow told me It's the only one he knows Like the morning sun you come And like the wind you go

Ain't no time to hate Barely time to wait Wo, oh, what I want to know Where does the time go?

I live in a silver mine And I call it Beggar's Tomb I got me a violin And I beg you call the tune Anybody's choice I can hear your voice Wo, oh, what I want to know How does the song go?

Come hear Uncle John's Band By the riverside Got some things to talk about Here beside the rising tide

Come hear Uncle John's Band Playing to the tide Come on along, or go alone He's come to take his children home

Wo, oh, what I want to know How does the song go?

Come hear Uncle John's Band By the riverside Got some things to talk about Here beside the rising tide

Come hear Uncle John's Band Playing to the tide Come on along, or go alone He's come to take his children home

Songwriters: Jerome J Garcia, Robert C Christie Hunter

THREE

...continuing this morning's stream of consciousness and, hopefully, some unconsciousness...and just letting the MORNING's DEW petals do their free fallin'...(not a PETTY task)...

...here's my previous tune set to an island vibe...so...

...put on yer GRASS skirt and "let the music play..."

FOUR

This next tune is dedicated to the one I love...I'll get to that later...

...this one's for all of us who've broken another's heart or had our own hearts broken by love...and, you might ask, "What's love got to do with it...?" We'll also get to that...

FIVE

Next on this morning's offerings...

SIX

...and this finale...but first, some backstory...

...from 1961-1966 I went to Power Memorial Academy with Victor Davila, who was the president of the local Shirelles Fan Club. Another classmate - Lou Alcindor (Kareem Abdul Jabbar) played a little b-ball while we played a LOT of music.

..fast forward to 1972...I meet Eileen at 10 Downing Street...not in London but in a bar of that name on Metropolitan Avenue in Kew Gardens, Queens. At that time, she was one of several girls I was seeing.

...In the summer of 1973, I got in my VW Bus and headed off to Callie to continue finding myself...by myself...

...while I didn't exactly leave her at the altar and I wasn't singing:

"While I'm far away from you, my baby I know it's hard for you, my baby"

...she later told me that something in her KNEW that I was coming back to her...

DUH! I didn't...but so glad I DID! What Craig Bates has said about his marriage to Cathy, "I MARRIED UP!" - applies also to me...and I'm forever GRATEFUL!

...43 years now...and "it's getting so much better all the time..."

So, Eileen, this next tune is...

SEVEN

This is where I stopped my morning's musical musings and went to the kitchen for some Moola banana milk...no kidding... and continued to the second floor to see what Eileen was up to and see if she saw this season's first snowfall... ...after chatting for a few, she shared this next song...saying how it's currently her favorite... THIS sharing of music with ONE ANOTHER...is a new blessing...and another thing for which I'M FOREVER GRATEFUL... Here's the song she shared with me...
